Devon Agricultural & Country Shows 2024

Here is a round up of the Agricultural shows in Devon you can visit this summer with your dog. 

They offer a great day out for all the family with lots of animals, food, crafts, tractors and everything associated with country life in Devon. Most of the shows run a family dog show, which are really popular and fun to get involved with.

Dogs will need to be on leads and there may be some restrictions in place at certain shows so I have added a link so you can check all the relevant information.

Mid Devon Show

27th July 2024

Hosted by the National Trust in the beautiful grounds of Knightahyes

Address - Knightshays /Chettiscombe, Tiverton

Dog Information - The Mid Devon Show is a dog friendly event, with watering stations across the showfield. Dogs to be kept on a short fixed lead. There is a Family Fun Dog Show that is great fun with a lovely rosette for taking part.

Yealmpton Show

One of Devon's biggest one-day agricultural shows set in a pictureque sheltered valley .

Totnes Show

Great Court Farm, Berry Pomeroy, Totnes

The Totnes Show is over 100 years old - a fun and exciting day out.

Dog Information : Well behaved dogs are welcome on short fixed (non retractable) leads, but will have limited access to some areas of the showground. Family Dog Show-  just come along and enter on the day in the ring. Do not miss the famous Terrier Racing - not just for the Terriers!

North Devon Show

The North Devon Show is a traditional one day show and is a celebration of all things Rural and has something for everyone.
Dog Information -Dogs must be kept on a short fixed lead at all times. Only assistance dogs are permitted in the Craft & Gifts Marquee, Food Hall Marquee and Horticultural Marquee. They hold a Family fun dog show at the Dog Rings and Marquee, which you can enter on the day.

Honiton Show

Honiton Showground, Stockers Farm, Gittisham, Honiton

The show is held in the heart of the East Devon Countryside on a 140 acre site and is a showcase for the best of local farming, produce, crafts and rural skills.
Dog Information : Dogs are permitted on non-retractable leads but are not allowed in the Food Hall or within the Cattle Lines

Chagford Show

Chagford Show is an annual event just outside the award winning village of Chagford celebrating traditional rural life.

Dog Information : Dogs on leads welcome.  Dog Show is open for entries on the day. There is a wide array of classes to enter from dog with the waggiest tail to the dog who most looks like its owner – something for everyone.

Lustleigh Show

Situated on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park, Lustleigh is a quaint English village and every August Bank Holiday Monday it comes together to host one of Devon’s most popular village shows
Dog Information: Lustleigh Dog Show is one of the most popular events in the show calendar. Enjoy the three large rings, where you can bring your prize pooch, or just cheer on the fabulous four-legged friends taking to the show ring in one of the 14 classes that they host.  Agility and Gun Dog demonstrations .

Kingsbridge Show

Dog Information : All dogs are welcome on the show ground providing they are on a non retractable lead and are kept under control.  The Dog Show takes place from approximately 1pm.  Entries are taken on the day at the ring side.  Lots of classes for family pets, pedigree and fun classes.

Widecombe Fair

Widecombe In The Moor, Newton Abbot

A traditional fair held in the beautiful village of Widecombe-in-the-Moor which lies in a stunning sheltered valley on the East side of Dartmoor.

Dog Information - Dogs on lead welcome at the show. Family Dog Show with lots of classes to enter on the day. Other highlights to look out for are The Dartmoor Hill Pony Display Team, Canine Capers Dog Agility Display and the ever-popular Terrier Racing - back and better than ever!
